Sand, Gravel & Concrete

This clean, white sand is Suitable for Schools and Day Care Centres as they are required to have an accreditation certificate for sands within the playground.

It is safety tested for critical fall heights of 3.0m.

A screened crushed 10mm blue metal with a consistent size. The aggregate is crushed and screened at the quarry to a consistent size, making it ideal for various uses. The aggregates can be used for paths, driveways, concreting, drainage pits, and drainage filler in pot plants or stand - alone vegie beds.

A screened crushed 20mm blue metal with a consistent size. Blue metal aggregate is a crushed rock with a striking blue-grey colour, made from tough basalt stone. This gravel packs tightly together, making it perfect for jobs that need strength and good drainage.

A sub 5 mm washed yellow river sand. Used for bedding Sand under pavers, mix with cement for concreting, grouting and mortaring. 

Can be used for topdressing areas but has little nutritional value for the soil or grass. Can mix it with heavy clay soils to help open the structure of the soil.

Crusher dust is a product which is crushed from the same kind of rock as road base but is much finer and gives a smoother finish than road base. 

There are a variety of uses for this product. A base for a level pad for paving, similar to bedding sand, it is sometimes preferred by brickies. A base for laying concrete slabs or water tanks. Used on driveways and paths. 

A fine washed yellow river sand. Good for sandpits, holds its structure better than white sand. Mix with cement for concreting, grouting and mortaring. Can be used for topdressing areas but has little nutritional value for the soil or grass.

Gardeners often blend it with heavy soils to help roots grow better, or to top up lawn areas for improving drainage.

A golden/honey coloured deco that sets hard. It is suitable for driveways and pathways and looks fantastic around firepit areas. (We recommend using a compactor or vibrating plate for best results.) 

By raking through cement powder as laying the deco, you will achieve an even firmer finish. 

One of the preferred sands for Bricklayers, where a lighter coloured joint is required. This clean, washed sand has a high clay content that makes it easier for brick-and-mortar work.

The colour may vary slightly from time to time; however, it will lighten when left in sunlight. 

This versatile, doubled washed sand can be used under pavers, or mixed with concrete for grouting and mortaring. It is also suitable for laying drainage pipes. 

Its slightly coarser texture makes it ideal for bedding under pavers and slabs, providing stable support while still allowing good drainage.

A blended mix of stone and binder.

As named, it is used to make a base for driveways and paths and can also be used to form a strong base to build retaining walls and paved areas. It can be laid down and then have a decorative layer of pebble put on top to dress it up. Best results are achieved when the road base is rolled and compacted using a machine.

A blend of 10mm blue metal and sand mixed at 3 parts Sand: 2 Parts Blue metal. The 10mm gravel blend is a good compromise for concreting; it's coarse enough for basic foundations slabs and can be troweled for a fine finish. At GCLC we spend the time to blend our own premix, including adding brickies loam, making it much smoother so you can finish your concreting work more quickly.   

Otherwise known as a ‘fatty loam”, this sand has a high loam content and is blended with a washed sand.

Suitable for brick and block work or it can be used as a straight Brickies Loam.

Hydrated Lime is ideal for enhancing bond strength and workability in cement mortars. It can also be used for water treatment and sanitising, as well as raising the ph of a soil. 

Hydrated lime is the result of water added to quicklime under controlled conditions. It can be blended with sand and cement to enhance the workability and bond for mortars and renders.

An Australian Standard cement powder suitable for general concrete and mortar applications. 

Recommended mixing ratios are on the bags.  Generally us a cement mix ratio of :  3 Sand : 2 Gravel : 1 Cement

Concrete Mix is a blend of Cement Aggregate and Sand, designed for use in projects where a quality concrete is required. Ideal for garden edges, mower strips, paths, garden slabs, foundations footings posts and uprights for pergolas and decks.

Great for small jobs.

Two 20kg bags cover a 450mm by 500mm slab at 75mm thickness. 

Mortar Mix is a carefully selected and proportioned blend of graded sand, Cement and Hydrated Lime. Mortar mix is suitable for the laying of bricks, masonry blocks and stonework.

In addition Mortar mix is suitable for general purpose mortar applications.

Mortar Mix has excellent workability.

One 20kg bag will cover approximately 20 house bricks or 10 masonry blocks with 10mm mortar joints. 

Quick and easy to use, paver sand is a special blend of graded fine sands and additives designed to lock into place all types of brick and block paving.

Paver sand forms a workable yet stable joint between pavers. It inhibits weeds and insect infestation and minimises paver distortion.

1 bag will cover approximately 3.5square meters of bricks at 3mm gap.

Post Mix is a proportioned blend of cement, sand and aggregate, ideally suited for stabilising non-structural posts including fence posts, letterboxes and clothes lines.

Postcrete has a coarser aggregate and is not suited for a smooth finish.

Approximately Two 20kg bags per hole. 

Rapid Set Concrete is manufactured using Cement , Sand and Aggregates and is formulated to harden rapidly without mixing.

This product is highly suitable for fixing fence and non-load bearing pergola posts, clothes hoists and many other non-structural uses.

Rapid Set Concrete hardens in 15minutes, no mixing is required just add clean water.
